Background

Expanding on our commitment to become a greener, more sustainable developer on our journey to Net Zero Carbon, Egerton Street is one of the first developments Torus Developments has built using Modern Methods of Construction.

Utilising off-site, modular construction methods, Egerton Street is the culmination of a strategic partnership with St Helens Council, the Salvation Army and YMCA which sees the 12 homes on site provide “move on” accommodation to homeless people. Helping tenants to sustain their tenancies through support from Torus and the Salvation Army, Egerton Street offers residents a safe, secure, modern home for as long as they need it.

Embedding more innovative technologies into its development programme will see Torus Developments provide more energy efficient homes to communities across the North West, which are built in a quicker, more sustainable way.

Egerton Street was highly commended at the Liverpool City Region Insider Property Awards 2023, Sustainability and Social Impact Award category.
