We don't just build great homes. We make communities stronger.
We’re the North West’s biggest developer of affordable homes and one of its fastest-growing investors. Each year we aim to build more than 1,000 high-quality homes and we plan to create 5,600 new homes in the five years by 2026, a development programme worth £1bn.
Although we’re commercially successful, we invest our profits in people and communities across the North West, which is how we really make a difference. We’re proud of our track record, but we’re determined to build on it.
Our large-scale signature developments, which can involve building up to 400 new homes, are helping to tackle the region’s shortage of affordable homes, which is a national problem. They ensure that people of all ages can live independently in a high-quality home, including those with additional care needs.
We want people to live happier, healthier lives in stronger, more resilient communities. Our developments address social and economic needs. They transform places, inspire growth and help to provide a sustainable future.

Each of our developments is unique. We believe in building the right homes, in the right places, guided by local need. Intelligent use of data, insight and experience make this possible.
Homes England, the government’s housing accelerator, is a key partner and funds many of our developments. We also work with local authorities to determine their strategic needs and goals, whether large or relatively small.
We champion sustainability and try to do things in a way that respects and safeguards the environment, exceeding required standards where possible. We’ve already set out on our journey to net zero and we create high quality homes in a sustainable way, building for today and tomorrow.
We’re firmly committed to our historic heartlands of Liverpool, Warrington and St Helens, but our reach is wider. We’re active in 11 local authority areas in the North West. We love this region and we’re proud to call it our home. Having a genuine understanding of the needs of local people, communities and places in the North West guides our work and provides a solid foundation for our success.
We believe in the power of partnerships. We can’t achieve the things we want to achieve on our own, it requires working with the right strategic partners, because that’s when truly special things can happen.
If your organisation also wants to ensure that people in the North West live in high quality homes, better places and stronger communities, let’s work together. Get in touch, because together we can make a big difference. We can change places, improve lives, strengthen communities and build a better future.
We’re all about creating sustainable, stable and thriving communities – and making positive changes happen. So if you think you can make a difference and give something back to our communities, Torus is a place for you.
Torus Group Careers
Torus has Strategic Partnership status with Homes England, the Government’s new housing accelerator. This supports and enables the development of new, affordable homes and communities.
By expanding our homes portfolio, we open the door to real and affordable choices for more people, from a first home to growing families, to older people and those seeking independent living with additional support.
